Mother's Day

On this special day, i am just sitting in my chair, reminiscing, thinking back on my childhood. For those who know, it has not been easy. For my mum, especially. No wild guesses guys, my dad treats her well :)

How do i say it without revealing too much...?
These past few days, i realised that whatever i remember from my childhood was something sad or angry, i never remember anything happy!

I remember this photo where my brother had his hand on my neck (like choking), i recalled asking my mum "why do you want him to choke me?" "can i choke him back?" my mum said no and i felt so unfair!!!! She insisted i had to smile for the picture too...

Another incident my brother get to use the camera (it was a big deal back then), and i couldn't, so there was this photo of me sitting on a concrete seat, pouting.

I remember her tears when she felt heartbroken and we went to get kitchen cloth (LOL) for her to wipe her tears.

It seems like i can't erase these memories from my head after 20 long years.

One time, during my teens, i got a camera for my birthday. i thanked my dad for it because i thought he was the one who got it for me but he told me to thank my mum instead because she has been the one doing everything for me. Then, it dawned on me. And that sentence totally changed me/brought me out of my rebellious stage.

So i'm seated here, flipping through the photo albums, i realised how much she has done.

Year after year, i'm getting older. But at the same time, she's getting older too.
I think i ought to pamper her more... Thank you mummy for the love over these past 20 years, and 20 more years to come! Happy Mother's Day x
